Failure to Diagnose Cardiovascular Conditions
An incorrect or delayed diagnosis of a cardiovascular condition can result in a serious life-altering injury and in some instances death. Health care providers are held to a medical standard of care by law. This standard can be enforced in court if a medical provider fails to meet that standard in failing to diagnose cardiovascular conditions.

Many times doctors and hospitals should be held accountable for failing to diagnose cardiac conditons. If you believe you were misdiagnosed or a loved one is the victim of a missed or failed diagnosis please contact the medical and legal advocates at The DiCello Law Firm.
Pulmonary Embolism -- This condition occurs when a blood clot usually in the leg is not properly diagnosed by closely monitoring a patient’s vital signs and failing to perform diagnostic scans of the lungs.
Heart Attack – There are stories that are all too common of the patient that goes to the Emergency Room with classic cardiac symptoms only to be told they are fine. Later we look to see why EKG’s or blood tests to measure the cardiac enzyme levels in the blood were not done.
Stroke – This is another condition that can be diagnosed in most cases successfully treated with a proper neurologic exam that may include CT’s MRI’s and an ultrasound. If these steps aren’t taken to make an early diagnosis the consequences can be fatal.
